"THE SALÈVE ADVENTIST CAMPUS IS AT THE FOREFRONT INTERNATIONALLY FOR THE PROMOTION OF RELIGIOUS FREEDOM"

December 8, 2018, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, CILRAP, the International Centre for Religious Freedom and Public Affairs, organized its second Human Rights Day at the Salève Adventist Campus (Collonges-sous-Salève, France). The guests were Mr. Jean Arnold de Clermont (President of the Pharos Observatory and former President of the Protestant Federation of France and the European Conference of Churches), Ambassador Ibrahim Salama (Head of the Treaty Service and the Council to the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) and Mr. Gabriel Goléa (Secretary General of the French-Belgian Union of Adventist Churches).

In partnership with HCDC on December 9, 2018, CILRAP also organized the first step of "Faith for Rights" between Geneva and Collonges-sous-Salève, representing various religious groups, they visited a calligraphy exhibition by Abdelrazzak Fadloun on the 18 commitments of "Faith for Rights". After the speech of MM. John Graz (Director of CILRAP), they attended meetings with Eric Ackermann (Jewish Community of Geneva) and Hafid Ouardiri (from Inter-Knowledge Foundation), and were also present at a concert on the theme of the 18 commitments of "Faith for Rights" with Mrs. Ursula Loizides on the flute, MM. Michael Wiener on the piano and John Graz as narrator.

These two events were made possible thanks to the cooperation of the HCDH, the United Nations Agency for the Promotion and Defense of Human Rights. Confirming this historic partnership for the Salève Adventist Campus, a meeting of experts selected by HCDH will take place on December 14 and 15 on the same campus. According to John Graz, director of CILRAP: "This is a cooperation that we had a hard time imagining a year ago as the CILRAP was taking its first steps." The Campus President himself, said: "With the HCDC Faith for Rights program, and the following expertise seminar, the Salève Adventist Campus is at the forefront internationally for the promotion of religious freedom."

The French national channel,“France 2” broadcasted a Protestant program from Paris on human rights with John Graz among the guests on the same day, December 9.
